I used to get anxiety from worrying about neglecting certain stuffed animals by picking favorites.
I was also always worried that they would be too sad when I left, so I ended up taking them everywhere with me. Family gatherings, church, friends houses. I got made fun of a lot, but it was a small price to pay to ensure my stuffed animals were happy.
To this day, I always make sure they’re comfortable and sitting up where they can see so they don’t get too bored, because part of me is still convinced that they’re real; they’re just not allowed to talk or move with people around. It’s against stuffed animal rules, and I respect that.
TMI: I am a grown woman (techinically) and I still cuddle 1-3 stuffed animals most nights, depending on my level of neediness. Michael doesn’t mind, but that’s probably just because he’s the sweetest person in the world. <3
One of my favorite things NOT to do is to color.
Ironic, isn’t it?
Sometimes bad friends pay visits at the worst times.
During such a time, I managed to write about our day together and come up with this story.
Anxiety is very real.
He comes in many different forms.
Be nice to yourself.
You are not crazy.

I’m not good at keeping up with things. I forget to take my vitamins, I forget to thaw chicken for tomorrow’s dinner, I forget to work out, I forget to call friends. I get easily overwhelmed and then the dreaded anxiety kicks in. My mom is the exact opposite. She has a specific day and a specific time of day for the things she needs to do. She doesn’t even think twice about it- she just does stuff, then still manages to get dinner on the table before 6:30!
So I dropped the ball on Inktober…
- I’m an adult (well, that might be a little debatable) who still gets scared of the dark. Hallways, closets and under the bed are all full of monsters just waiting for me to turn my back. Welcome to my nightmare… don’t run; it only makes them want to chase you MORE. (this is a slider image, click the arrow to view full comic)Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!<3 Jess
This has pretty much been me all week…
Michael and I rarely go out. We’re not big on crowds, we like cooking at home and we honestly just love our alone time together.
But every now and then when we don’t feel like dirtying up dishes, we will go out to eat at a sit down restaurant.
Inevitably by the end of dinner, we cannot WAIT to get home. When we…
